Announcing new ways to customize your news gadgets...

It is now possible to customize the look of the news reader gadgets (RSS feeds). In addition to choosing whether you want descriptions and images or just the headlines, you can also select the following options:

• Number of Stories - between 1 and 9
• Link Color - 8 standard colors
• Font Size - 11 pixels (smallest) to 15 pixels (largest)
• Font Weight - Bold or Normal

On the My Profile page, you can set your preferences, and they will apply to all news reader gadgets. To change the settings for just one gadget, click the small "e" icon in the title bar of the gadget, select your options, and click Save.

Also, the scroll bar in the gadgets no longer appears if the content of the gadget is smaller than the size of the gadget.

Another change that has been added is the ability to choose a different number of columns on each tab. For example, you could have one tab with 2 columns and larger gadgets and another with 4 columns and smaller gadgets. To make this selection, click the small "e" icon in the corner of the tab, choose your preferred layout, and click Save.

These selections only apply to news reader gadgets (RSS feeds). They do not apply to other types of gadgets.

Three New Gadgets Available: Weather Underground, Weathermodule Radar, and GasBuddy Prices

Three frequently requested gadgets were release today.

Weather Underground

The new Weather Underground gadget is configurable by zip code in the US or by RSS feed for international locations. It shows the current temperature and conditions as well as a short term two day forecast.

Weathermodule Dopler Radar

Weathermodule Radar will show local, animated radar in your area. You must add the gadget to your page and set the preferences before the map will display. You must choose both your zip code and the radar site for the map to display correctly. Make sure you choose the closest radar site to your area.

GasBuddy Prices

Many people had request the GasBuddy gadgets from iGoogle. They are now available for both US and Canadian cities. Again, you need to add it to your page and set the preferences for the gadget to display correctly.
